Onalaska is a city in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, that is just north of the city of La Crosse. The population was 17,736 at the 2010 census. Onalaska is built on a slightly elevated ridge above the Black River.

Things to do

Ice arena: The Omni Center offers ice skating, hockey and large events. It is also the home of the Coulee Region Chill,  a Junior A Tier II  hockey team.

Bike trails: Onalaska is near more than 101 miles of  state bicycle trails at the juncture of the Great River State Trail and the La Crosse River State Trail, two of the Midwest’s most beautiful bicycling trails. The country roads surrounding Onalaska also provide excellent bicycling.

Outdoors: There are outdoor opportunities in all four seasons.
