The housing statistics for July came out and the good news continues.
In La Crosse County, home prices were up 11.8 percent. The La Crosse Tribune wrote a great story about it, but to recap:
Comparing July to July of last year, the county increased 11.8 percent in home sales, as the rest of Wisconsin saw July home sales jump 17.3 percent.
But even though the county’s month-to-month increase isn’t as big as the state’s, the year-to-date trend is stronger here than it is for the rest of the Badger State. So far this year, 846 homes have sold in La Crosse County, a 23.3 percent increase from the same time last year.
In Monroe, Trempealeau and Vernon counties, the number of home sales is consistent but the price has increased.
At the La Crosse Fine Homes Group, we’ve continued to see an increase compared to last year at this time. As we enter fall, we aren’t seeing things slow down too quickly, which is good.
